So I started watching the forecast 5 days out from Sunday. It looked good so I made plans to clear the schedule Sunday afternoon to splash onto Okanagan Lake. The final forecast I read for Sunday afternoon said....sunny +7 and here is the key...calm winds. I can handle the cold but wind is another story especially if you are launching your boat by yourself. So the sun and temperature lived up to the hype but the wind did not. It wasn't crazy windy but the whitecaps were  enough to twist my boat around when I took my hands off the wheel to drop in my fishing line. I fished for 2 hours North of Rattlesnake Island on the East side. I fished close to the surface in 250-350 ft of water using a lyman plug and a bucktail with no luck today.  I have deemed this trip a success as I haven't run my motors for a while and I was able to run some fresh gas through the lines. At least I know all systems should be a go on my next trip.
