My old man and I got out on the lake on Saturday (Feb 6th). We hit the water at 11am and concentrated our efforts around Cresent beach North of Summerland. We were finding lots of fish on the finder when we were in 200 to 300 ft of water (most likely schools of Kokanee). The fish seemed to be in 100+ ft of water. At around 1pm we deceided to cut across to Indian Rock while I dragged a blue/white bucktail on a floating flyline with a colorado blade spinning above with green beads for extra bling! Fish on! Fish on! Fish on! My fly reel was just a screamin'...Fish off. In only a few short seconds my heart was pumping like I had just run a marathon . We fished out the day until 4pm, tried a few Apex's, Tomic's and Lyman's with no hook-ups. The sun was out and the water was calm so it was a great day. The fish gotta win once in a while :)
