Okanagan Lake Fishing!

As an avid fisherman for the past 30 years, I have developed a passion for sport fishing.  As a proud member of the British Columbia sport fishing community, I am alarmed at the rate of decline in new anglers. The provincial government estimates that sport fishing is worth 1.2 billion dollars annually. With the average age of anglers close to 50, we need to generate some angling interest in our young people and retiring populations. It takes a long time to acquire the knowledge needed to be a successful angler and we have a responsibility to pass this knowledge to the next generation. Thousands of natural lakes, rivers and streams lie in our backyards in British Columbia. Let us not waste and ignore this precious resource. New anglers help fuel future advocates and conservationists who will help protect the aquatic marine life that is so vital to our future.

Fishing is our handshake, our language.

A Heritage that binds us together.

A passage our fathers took.

A Journey that lasts a lifetime,

That we have begun again...

 with our sons and daughters.
